Funds raised by the Big Green go to athletic scholarships. BigGreenLink Marshall has seperate boosters clubs for football and basketball. Booster clubs, such as Tip-Off and Quarterback clubs, are permissible so
long as they comply with all NCAA student-athlete rules; just like
individual boosters (i.e., no contact with recruits, no extra benefits to
any individual student athletes, etc.). They are similar to the Big
Green Scholarship Fund with the following major exceptions: not tax
deductible; monies go to a specific sports program instead of to all
programs; and no ticket or seating priority reward.
To join, call the basketball or football offices and they will mail you
an application or take your information over the phone. Quarterback Club
costs $25. There are three different membership levels for the Tip-Off
Club, $35/$85/$160, with different "perks" applied to each level.
